ABC News' Poll Shows 43 Percent Think Vice President Cheney Won Debate, Only 35 Percent Think Edwards Won. (ABC's "Special Coverage," 10/5/04 )
NBC's Tom Brokaw: "Dick Cheney Reminded Me Of George Foreman, Kind Of A Slow Gait, But A Powerful Right-Hand When He Unleashed It In A Number Of Areas As He Went After The Kerry-Edwards Ticket." (NBC's "Special Coverage," 10/5/04 )
MSNBC's Ron Reagan: "This Time, I Think The Chattering Classes, And I Include All Of Us Among Them, Will Come Out On The Side Of There Was A Stature Gap There, And It Was To Cheney's Advantage." (MSNBC's "Hardball," 10/5/04 )

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough: "I Tell You, Tonight, No Doubt About It, Edwards Got Obliterated By Dick Cheney. This Is The Most Surprising Part. This Debate Actually Turned In Cheney's Direction When They Started Talking About Domestic Issues. I Thought Cheney Handled The Foreign Policy Issues Very Well." (MSNBC's "Hardball," 10/5/04 )
One John Flushed...
One to go.
I have to agree. It was like watching a teenager go up against his high school principle...
Awesome!
Post this on as many blogs/message boards as you can
Cheney put Edwards in his place tonight, the part about his not very impressive record was a grand slam too.
WOW! Impressive. I'm at work and will have to catch it on recast or transcript.
Incidentally, the Third Party candidates will be debating on Bill Moyer's Now on PBS Friday night at 9 pm. I've heard they'll also be on CSPAN tomorrow.
Good to know. I turned off the TV after a few minutes on FOX after the debate.
Thanks!
This looks good..... what is the deal with all the polls? are they all internet polls?
35% picked Edwards.
I wish I was for Kerry so I could change my mind!
Where did they poll, the lawyer convention hall?
lets see what happens to that hugh 1% bounce kerry got on thursday night.
it got flushed along with baby john and his diaper.
My favorite too, but here were a few to choose from tonight.
I knew Dick Cheney would come through again, just as he did four years ago. He was terrific. People talk about how his opponents underestimate President Bush, but he has nothing on his own Vice President.
Best line of the night (paraphrasing): if they cannot even stand up to Howard Dean, how can we trust them to stand up to Al Queada?" Roadkill!
I likened it on the live thread to Mr Kotter and Arnold Horshack. Edwards just kep wanting to interrupt, "ooh, ooh, ooh"...LOL!
The Johns...Senator Went, and Senator Gone...The Johns have been flushed...Which one is "number 1," and which is "number 2?"
I think the Vice President did great. I think he helped to put to put this campaign back on track. He Bush wins re-election, he can thank Cheney for doing his part.
Youth and exuberance didn't stand a chance against age and cunning.
CBS had it Edwards 41% to 29% Cheney base on a sample of 169
undecided voters. At best a first impression poll.
POWERFUL SWift Vet ad with widows of POWs just aired on MSNBC! Incredible stuff. That the man still has a 50-50 chance of getting elected president is a sign of how dumb Americans have become. But hopefully these ads will help keep the creep OUT of the White House.
The shot in the arm we all needed. Cheney's line about meeting Edwards for the first time on stage was the line of the election.
