She asked a question about a significant problem to the black community. It is a significant problem for America. Gwen was talking about black WOMEN. I thought she asked the question of Cheney in an accusatory manner. She asked what the government was going to do about it. Cheney allowed that he did not know that the AIDS rate was so high for black women, but that rate of infection was going down as a whole. I guess that feeds the impression that GWB doesn't care about the black community, especially black women.
Edwards said he would double the funding on AIDS.

Actually I was hoping Cheney would make note of the personal behavior aspect of it.

I don't know who she may have attempted to embarrass with her question, I happen to think it was valid (Over 162,000 African Americans were living with AIDS in the United States. They accounted for 42% of all people in the United States living with AIDS, according to the CDC).
Edwards, I think, said he would double the funding of in Africa. So if she was attempting to embarrass Cheney, Edwards stepped right into the punch. That hurts the Dems who already are struggling with lukewarm support among blacks.
