Cheney will decimate, no doubt.
I'm wondering, though, if it will have any major impact on the race at all?
Past VP debates really haven't.

You have to remember that the moderator controls the tone of the debate, by the nature of the questions asked, not the candidates. We saw this in the first debate. If you don't ask questions even remotely favorable to Cheney, or, by the same token, ask questions that constantly keep him on the defensive, it will be hard for him to control the debate. The moderator has more to do with who wins the debate than the candidates.

I think Cheney will hand Edwards his head in this debate but I do worry about how the media will play it.

I'm viewing Edwards as a worthy opponent. He's a lawyer who impresses the OJ style juries and the Oprah watchers. Bush/Cheney has to win some of their votes in order to be successful.
Cheney will impress us with his content. I hope he takes a lot of style points away from Kid Edwards.
