Cheney will decimate, no doubt.
You have to remember that the moderator controls the tone of the debate, by the nature of the questions asked, not the candidates. We saw this in the first debate. If you don't ask questions even remotely favorable to Cheney, or, by the same token, ask questions that constantly keep him on the defensive, it will be hard for him to control the debate. The moderator has more to do with who wins the debate than the candidates.

President Reagan handled this by saying, "I reject the premise of your question." And would then instruct the questioner as to why it was a biased question. He would then explain what the question should actually be.
