Lol! Three speeding tickets in my entire life. One was in my POS Isuzu truck, too. I got out of it in court.
'93 Miata (handled like it was on rails, but anemic engine), early Celica with the 24RE engine (nice, but what a rust-bucket), '73 LTD with the 429 (set the cruise control on 100 and float down the highway for 100 miles), '73(?) Comet, of all things, with a 302 (got chased by the MI highway patrol for 12 miles, without knowing it--they could not keep up, and I was just driving normal)...
The Comet was hilarious. Black POS, when I bought it I started giving it its first wash in likely a decade, and it started turning yellow. Bought 6 cans of flat black spray paint, and painted the entire car. Including the wheels. No grill. Turn on the heater, and anti-freeze sprayed on the inside of the windshield.
But it would burn the tires for a city block. Torched vettes on Woodward Avenue in Detroit.
I took off the plates, and abandoned it in a parking lot when I joined the AF in '84.
