Kerry on Bush's Global Test (Yes, BUSH'S Global Test)
ABC News ^ | 10/4/04 | Ed O'Keefe

Posted on 10/04/2004 9:04:53 AM PDT by ProtectOurFreedom

For the first time publicly since the first presidential debate, Senator John Kerry was asked about his "global test" remarks which the Bush-Cheney campaign have pushed as an indication of the Senator's over dependence on multilateral foreign policy.

Speaking at a town hall meeting on stem cell research in Winnacunnet High School in Hampton New Hampshire, Kerry replied, "This is what they do. It's almost sad. It's certainly pathetic. All they can do is grab a little phrase and scare America." ...

Then Kerry returned to the question at hand, continuing, "What I said in the preceding sentence was, "I will not cede America's security to another country." No one gets a veto over our security. No one...I'm never going to allow America's security to be outsourced."

Concluding, Kerry clarified once more, "The test that I was talking about was a test of legitimacy."

There you have it...it was BUSH's Global Test. "...grab a little phrase and scare America." D**n straight it scares America. His wanting to kowtow to the rest of the world rather than have a strong, muscular America that knows how to defend itself scares the Hell out of me. I can't believe he'd trot out the old canard that this is just "scare tactics." It's much, much deeper than that -- it's our very survival at stake.

This one really has the Dems pi$$ed off. I saw some black haired, bugeyed Kerry spokes-lady on one of the cable shows calling whining about it last night.

Kerry, who decides what and who are legitimate?

The UN? France and Germany?

Bush campaign needs to switch to nuclear fuel for Iran policy by Kerry, his opposition to Iraq bases, calling troops occupiers, and opposing missile defense. Also support of Bush by troops.

LOL..
every once in a while sKerry goes off script and reveals his "true self".

Everytime he does it he scares people and his sycophants have to run around spinning and making excuses, claiming he didn't really mean it.

Does this blowhard even listen to himself when he's talking?
He just contradicted himself in the same paragraph.

He states that he would never allow a foreign power to veto our security and then proceeds to say we need to pass a test of legitimacy.

WHAT A TOOL!!!!!

Not only that, but he wants to replace our troops in Iraq with troops from other nations. I don't suppose that qualifies as outsourcing, does it?

Kerry is scary! Legitimate by whose standards? The scariest part is most people don't even pick up on this.

Unless Kerry is prepared to say that he would go ahead with pre-emptive action sans "Legitimacy" in the eyes of the "Global" community, he is saying exactly the same thing as President Bush has quoted him as saying. Think about it!

Bush should refer to Kerry's GLOBAL TEST AS OUTSOURCING THE PRESIDENCY.

Kerry said - "I will not cede America's security to another country". The UN is a bunch of countries. Next sentence he uses the phrase "nobody". Again another use of a singular.

Kerry's record on kissing up to the French speaks for itself. Unfortunately, the MSM doesn't want to listen.

Even then, they'll just demand that we send troops over to save their asses, and then once our people are there, they'll collaborate with the enemy against us.
