I read ClarenceThomasfan's post, and then yours and I'm not understanding your meaning.
I don't want Kerry to win, I want President Bush to be re-elected. I'd have trouble envisioning a Kerry presidency as God's plan unless it was to punish the wicked!

Didn't mean to be confusing...I too do NOT want sKerry to win the election...I find it hard to believe that God would want sKerry as president of the United States, however, I am often reminded that God is in control; he will have whom He wants as POTUS, regardless of what we think is best for America...(not that sKerry is better for America). And who knows, maybe the Lord would use a sKerry win to WAKE UP this country...lets face it, America/Americans (not all, mind you...but enough that we've got a serious problem in this country) have become spoiled, self-absorbed, irresponsible, lazy, and I could go on and on...many of us are like "lone voices in the wilderness" - no matter how much we cry out for sheeple to open their eyes, things only get worse. So the way I see it is if sKerry does win the election, maybe it's God's way of saying "WAKE UP AMERICA!" ... enough is enough! (although I thought that was what He was trying to show us when Clinton was in office for 8 years...seems America has yet to WAKE UP and get serious!!! (have I made my point, yet?!)
