I used to have some of that ash, I was a kid then. Someone sent it to me who was out there. I got to wondering what the volcanic ash was made of. I didn't have a chem set so I decided to taste it. I decided it tasted a lot like fireplace ash.

I wasn't the brightest kid but I enjoyed myself ;-)

Wife thinks I'm nuts....

Oh! I think you were really a bright kid. I used to taste the dirt in the celler and the tar on the road.

I still have my jar of Mt. St. Helens Ash.
