5 (e) Neither film footage nor video footage nor any audio

excerpts from the debates may be used publicly by

either candidate's campaign through any means,

including but not limited to, radio, television,

internet, or videotapes, whether broadcast or

distributed in any other manner.

I'm sure they'll say the DNC isn't part of the Kerry campaign.

Are you saying they flip-flopped on the rules?

Obviously Bush is worn out. I doubt he is getting much sleep.

Between the current terrorist threat and the hurricane disaster...well this is what we get.

Hopefully President Bush will get some sleep before the next debate.

Hopefully most people will understand why he came off the way he did last night.

Perhaps he should have commented on the subject.

He looked that way because he spent the entire day with hurricane victims with his highness spent the day getting his nails done.

..it doesn't pass the global test.

heh..I like it.
The new RAT moniker.

The pro Bush 527's should pick up on this and drive it home. (see new tag)

Mr Bush should use this to his advantage. If I were advising him I would tell him to say on the stump, "how can we trust Kerry to keep his word with foreign countries when he won't even live be the rules the 2 parties set up over debates??"

If they try to denigrate him for his physical appearance he ought to turn that into a plus too. Make some humorous, self deprecating remarks about how he is not a good TV performer. It could work. (Remember how Algore still almost won despite being pilloried the last time for his sighs and condescending attitude.) I hope Mr Rove is reading these posts! :)

Fine, we'll retaliate by using Kerry's sound bites. Global test. We didn't need that tax cut. Give Iran nuclear fuel. And more.

I'll take this deal anytime.

I agree.

I believe he just doesn't like Kerry. He knows Kerry is a liar. He knows Kerry is harmful to this nation.

Bush came across as someone who was fed up and irritated.

Kerry totally shot himself in the foot last night when he made the global test contest. We all knew this is what Kerry believes.

Appeals to the base but big mistake for them.

You mean basest, right! LOL

There were a couple of absolute doozie contradictions by Kerry yesterday that the Bush campaign should put into a campaign ad. "In the presidential debates John Kerry said X; he also said Y. So what's Kerry's position? I guess we'll never find out..."

lol that is for sure.

Kerry reminded me of Clinton. His nails were done...his hair was perfect...his lipstick was on straight!

I thought President Bush was not very sharp last night, but watching recaps this morning without the stuttering, I thought he was extremely strong and a leader. He was speaking to the the American people, while John Kerry was speaking to Jim Leher, and it shows up today.

Yep, and I have never seen a candidate still trying to shore up his base this late in the game.

I thought it was funny. I was making the same faces whenever Kerry spoke.

The eighties porn music really sucked though.

Mistake...their base will love it, but it looks like their picking on him.

How is that any cheaper of a shot than, say, the GOP running clips of Kerry wind surfing in flop-flop directions?

Answer: it isn't.

It's one thing to support a President. It's another to be blind to attacks.

Some of us freepers need to stop pretending that any time something bad happens to our President that "the voters can see through it."

If non-base voters could "see through" Dem crap, Bush would be at 75% in the polls.

Yes the bites this morning look good.

Wish he would have looked that way last night.

Not important to 99% of us...but that isn't who really counts in this race.

I predicted yesterday and earlier that Bush would be so flabbergasted and annoyed by Kerry's lies that he would check-out of the debate and just shake his head in disgust.

Tragically, I was right. This president cares more about protecting the Presidency than he does his own political fortunes.

All is not lost, however. Kerry made some huge gaffes that will haunt him; and Bush will be much more relaxed in the town hall format.

Are you saying they flip-flopped on the rules?

Let's see:
definition: flip-flop..changing one's position or agreement based on the present circumstances or polling information. Usually done by people with no core convictions or principles.

answer: Yep, that's what we're saying ;-)
