From Betsy's Page:

Gallup's instant poll has some interesting internals.

Who won the debate?
K 53 B 37

Who is best able to handle the situation in Iraq?
K 43 B 54

Who to you trust better to handle the responsibility of being commander-in-chief?
K 44 B 54

Who agrees with you more on issues you care about?
K 46 B 49

Who expresses himself more clearly?
K 60 B 32

Who understands the issues better?
K 41 B 41

Who is more believable?
K 45 B 50

So, Kerry expressed himself better but people still don't seem to be buying it. I hope that result doesn't change with the post-debate spinning.

My real worry are the next two debates when they get to other topics that people agree with Kerry more, perhaps.

Even if you think Bush lost and I don't, it does not hurt him because the debate was on his strengh.

You know.... the American people are wising up. 20 years ago, Kerry would have a double diget lead after such a good "showing" last night. But finally, the American people are learning how to recognize the snakeoil salesmen.

What 3 main points did Yaaaawn make last night to win the war on terror??? He used every technique in the book, including grabbing the Presidents hand as they broke to win and still got a draw or loss.

Pray for W and The Truth

I heard that the SKerry campaign was going to make an ad showing Bush's facial gestures when SKerry talked. They think they can equate it with Gore's sighs and eye-rolling but I think it will just backfire because people will know that Bush was justifiably angry at SKerry's lies.

I don't think Scary Kerry won at all! I thought my President mopped the floor with him. Kerry was pulling stuff from his rear-end and was not at all with the subject at hand.

Kerry had his own agenda and was going to make his points regardless of the questions that were asked.

IMHO

It's kind of like watching an actor in a movie. That's all he's doing and all he would do...act like he'd lead the nation...a figure-head...the perfect puppet.
