This is NOT a disaster, folks. I am SO tired of the gloom and doom over this stupid debate, with Kerry up there like a peacock lying about everything, in collusion with the moderator.
Lets face it, if Bush had clearly won we would be crowing that it was over. The President didn't perform as well as he has in the past tonight and thats bad and we ought not to put on the rose colored glasses and call it sweet victory as so many are prone to do here. But Reagan lost his first debate also. We have two to go and Kerry expectations will be sky high now.

I did not hear one lie out of President Bush's mouth and that makes him the winner. JFKerry was a babel of lies and deception. He spoke more fondly of himself, the mental Il, and his fellow travelers than he did of any American citizen.
President Bush showed leadership by not jumping into JFKerry's quagmire of lies.

Reagan was facing an incumbent president and thus, he had to show that he could be a better President (not hard against Carter)
Kerry did not do this in this debate.
He showed that he is a Senator with 20 years of debate experience not a leader.
His refusal to answer the question on what he would do in Iraq and telling people to go his website was condescending (he did that with Imus also).
When someone asks you a question, no one wants to be redirected to get the answer!
After telling what you would do, you could say for further information go to the website.
I think that attitude is going to turn off alot of people

I agree. I love President Bush. There is no doubt in my mind that he is the BEST man for the job.
BUTTTTTT..... the point of the original post is not what he or intelligent people think (that's us by the way). He is talking about those undecideds (who if they had half a brain, they would be decided).
I personally became upset at all the facial expressions of President Bush, and found the debate much better when I rolled over, closed my eyes, and just listened to the him speak.
His facial expressions took away from his message - and you couldn't miss that - Fox News kept showing it. I felt that we saw a lot less of Kerry's facial reactions when President Bush was speaking.
Just my opinion...
