Just cause you're a Vietnam Vet doesn't give you the right to spoil thing for the rest of us. I praise your service to the country, as you should praise mine, but that doesn't give you a blank check to to do whatever you like to whomever you like, and then defend it with your war service.
The truth is your graphics are preventing folks from participating in this important discussion because it's slowing down the server... and anyone on a modem line is getting entirely blocked out, too.

Actually, I think the reason was that posts were coming so fast and furious (with and without graphics) is the reason for the slow going. Early on I started from post #1 speed reading. It was slow going BEFORE the first Tonkin post. Finally gave up and hopped a couple hundred. Still, by the time closing remarks were made, I was at post 1750 and 2038 posts were listed.
