Bush's response is fairly meek... He didn't even say, I can't believe you're calling me a liar
He doesn't need to. He is not a whiny crybaby who thinks Americans didn't just hear it with their own ears (duh). He DID refute the charges themselves without descending into the "Ma, he called me a liar" whine.
When I was trained to be a teacher, my professor told us the easiest thing in the world to do is to sit in the back of the room with a legal pad and rip apart and second-guess the poor guy in the front of the room trying to teach the kids.

The single greatest threat right now is not nuclear weapons, but softness on terrorism. That's why Kerry needs to be defeated.

The National Review "Corner" has a pretty fair review of the debate. After reading evryones reviews I called in a refill of attivan. Geez I was streesed. I'd say though the debate it was a toos-up. We just have to spin mow!!! Rove is going to have a field day with Pottery barn!!
I'm not new and I'm not down on Bush, but I do feel that W brought a boxing glove to a knife fight.

I think that W not being under control really, really cost him in the beginning. BUT - now he is really pulling it out and looking GREAT.
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you a lawyer? I know you are squarely in the President's corner and I think what folks here are missing is that Kerry is coming on like a used car salesman and Bush is speaking directly to the American people from his heart. American know a liar when they hear one and every time Kerry opens his mouth THEY HEAR ONE! The President WILL get through this just fine.
I don't want George W. Bush to be the best talker and debater in the world.
I want George W. Bush to hunt down every terrorist in this world and put their asses out of business.

This is a repeat of 2000 Debate I. W is relentlessly right on message. Kerry is not connecting with anyone. There are many trolls out on this thread. They are out tonight just like they will be out on the websites ten minutes after the debate.
