Thread 1 - Pre-Debate discussion
ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND THE
MAD TV SPOOF OF THE DEBATE? (VIDEO) ?????
Who the hell said anything about running. You dont have any clue to who or what I am nor my background.
I am objectively stating what I see and hear and expressing my thoughts and feeling to what I see. If it is ok with you.
I will not change my core values because of politics and pressure. Bush just won the election on that line.
But what am I to expect from someone who first claimed everbody criticizing Bush were 'Rat trolls and parasites, and now he lacks the integrity and fortitude to admit his error when he is proven wrong? Choosing instead an ad_hominem attack on me.
No wonder you think Bush is winning this debate.
This was all expected.
GWB is doing fine.
He may be doping a rope a doper...
Kerry ... Being certain can get you into trouble????
Hey Overeasy........is that what kerry says when he screws you & yours?
Over Easy!
What talking heads? Oh, like MSNABCCBSNBCCNN? Don't count on it.
I see W as the Winner.. He just knocked Kerry out of the park. W is stable... he does not flip-flop. He puts American first!
Republicans are honest realists. We don't turn on the fake spin, like the Dems do. Our guys fool around, and we admit it and kick em out of office.
Nice of you to drop by for only TWO WEEKS. Back to DU with you!
My summary thus far:
GWB is not a slick speaker, never has been and is not coming across as such tonight. He is, however, more believable tonight IMHO. I think people will pick up on the fact that whenever Lehrer asks Lurch for specifics, he never gets them. He gets vague, abstract concepts, then a series of attacks on Bush, instead of answers about WHAT Lurch will do.
I do think Bush is missing many opportunities to really hammer Lurch, though. He finally touched on it briefly, but he needs to make a forceful and emphatic point that we make decisions based on what's best for US, not what's popular with the rest of the world, not what the joke known as the UN thinks. He should hammer him with something along the lines of, "I'm way more concerned about people in New York sleeping safely than what some politician in Paris thinks we should do."
Bush has also way overdone the "wrong place wrong time" thing IMO, when he should've been beating Lurch over the head with his documented waffles more.
If I were scoring it right now, I'd probably give Bush a 55-45 edge.

YOU sure you are in the right site? This is a conservative place......and your posts dont' look conservative at all.
I've noticed that too, Owen.
There are a few regular Freepers who are down on the Prez.
But I am seeing a lot of temporary Newbies.
Each of Kerry's lies is a meme that's been sown in the media for a long time. the "Genius" Karl Rove apparently told Bush to skip the details, "stay the course", and invoke "war on terrorism."
Lehrer set up W with a chance to rip into Kerry's character. It threw W off, because that is such a "loaded question." It took him a while to find an acceptable response.
Can you tell me where you're getting that feed? It looks interesting.
FR is overloaded and it is taking me to long to get to the next dang page, and when I want to post it takes me a minute or so to post. To many on here tonight, LOL!!! So, I guess I will just read and try and keep up.
By they way, I think Bush is doing just fine tonight and this won't hurt the polls. Just my opinion
