Lehrer: You spoke to Congress...How do you ask a man to die for a mistake?

Kerry: It isn't a mistake.

Huh?

Lehrer finally throws a fastball at Kerry by asking him how the war could be the wrong war and yet ask Americans to continue to die for a mistake (quoting his infamous testimony on Vietnam when he famously asked "How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?") Kerry's response: Iraq war isn't a mistake.
