California FReepers, I need your help.
Yesterday on the Larry Elder show, a caller reported seeing a license plate in Santa Monica on a Volvo. It said "F Dubya". Then, the purported owner of the vehicle, a jerk named Phil, called in to the show. He was really proud.
After a few minutes, Larry handed Phil his lunch. He claimed to be well-read but Larry showed him to be a hate-filled Santa Monica liberal fool.
Let's do more than hand him his lunch. I spoke to the DMV, and if they get more than one letter, they will look into taking back a plate that citizens find offensive. The woman with whom I spoke, understood how the plate could be offensive. An "F Kerry" plate would not, because Kerry is a real last name. No one has the name Dubya; the only reference anywhere is that it is the nickname of our commander in chief.
On the show, Phil said that he couldn't believe they allowed him to have the plate.
(Californians only) Send letter to:
DMV Registration
Attn: Headquarters
P.O. Box 942869
Sacramento, CA 94269
Note - I would particularly like to see Santa Monica postmarks on letters. Raise your hand if you are going to send a letter.
Letter going today.

I do. It is, after all, the California Soviet Socialist Republic.
How I hope for their sakes, that my fellow White Eurpoean American, Gov. Schwartzenegger, cleans house soon...
Let's roll, you CA freepers.
Thanks. Anyone from Santa Monica aboard yet?
Send DMV an email with a paragraph stating that if you haven't back from them in 48 hours, you will be contacting Arnold's office.
We sold a car last August, and every month after the re license were due in November, we got hassled by DMV that we owed money.
A friend said to send them copies and to tell them they had 1 week to clear up this mess, or I would let Arnold's office handled it. The mess was handled in less than a week.
WHY DID THE CALIFORNIA DMV LET THIS PLATE GO THRU IN THE FIRST PLACE? MOST STATES LOOK AT THESE VANITY PLATES BEFORE THEY GET PRINTED AND DECLINE ANY THEY DEEM OFFENSIVE.
No surprise that the plates are on a Volvo.
Why? I support free speech.
Hate to disagree with you on this issue. I know and respect what you post.
Just get pictures of the plate and car and publish it in front of massage parlors, the fungal clinic, abortion clinic.
Doug,
Letter out in today's mail.
Semper Fi,
Kelly
They missed this one. I had to explain it to her. After explaining, she understood.
Thanks, Kelly.
I used to have a Volvo.
A Bush-Cheney sticker was proudly displayed (along with "FRPR" and NRA stickers).
Now I have another European car, this one with the black "W / The President" sticker.
Doug, please; don't ask me to join the ranks of the crybabies.
When a person applies for personalized plates in California, where the meaning isn't plain, the requester must write down what it means.
I wonder what he wrote?
It was probably the only one they missed all year!!!!!!!
I completely agree.
If this doofus is forced to give up his license tag, he could always get a "F DUBYA" bumper sticker. Or worse.
It gives him something to do.
Let the arrogant puke have it as a bumper sticker, not a government officially sanctioned license plate. That allows him his free speech, and I am still not a fascist.
