Maybe volunteer at your local voting precinct to audit (verify) nw applications. Check the voting criteria with what has been offered by the request, especially checking for deceased voter registrations. If I lived stateside, I'd be volunteering my time somewhere!

"divide the list up between all freepers willing to help and then call and confirm every single name, address, age, life status(dead or not)" We could do random sampling of large lists and come up with averages that we could extrapolate out. So, that if each person verified 100 names out of a 10,000 list, and found 2% or 3% were fraudulent, we could report that to news organizations, and then put pressure on the elections officials in those areas to prosecute.

I do believe that volunteering at you local precinct is important and needed. The kind of effort I'm talking about here though is more along the lines of freepers nation wide parsing the voter rolls of Columbus, OH, for instance.
I am hoping it could work along the same lines as the SETI project does. You take thousands of processors (in this case freepers) and give each a small chunk of a very large pool of data to process.
