I was having an argument with another FReeper about how many of the old timers were still around. I tell people there is a FReeper vsyndrome and that most of them are still around, they just don't post much anymore.
Here is your chance to put these rumours to rest. Chime in and let everyone know you still are alive and kicking. Post your registration number if you know it.
Call Rather, he'll fix it!
Don't forget whole threads blinking and 'someone turn off the Italians'
I signed in summer 1998 but had different name. So I'm still here.
First FReep was third Saturday at the WH (?March '98?).
Lurker for most of 1998!
March for Justice vet.
Made it official 11-9-98
Since Nov 11, 1998. No idea what my number might have been.
Howdy! 7646
As has so often been my experience....easier said than done.
OK, do lurkers count? I first started at FR when Drudge broke the Monica Lewinsky story and have been here just about every day since. I didn't get an actual handle on here for several years but some of us have been faithful lurkers for years and years.
Still lurkin
Shocked!
My login says 1999 - but I'm sure I was here long before that.

I was here in 1997 as well. Had a different screen name and got bumped. Got another, and again got bumped. I was posting anti-Clinton stuff on the old CNN Message Boards and followed a famous Freeper over to FR. Have not engaged in personal attacks and have been more careful about picking fights. My Freeper friend died in mysterious circumstances a few years ago. 'Nuff said.
I've been around since about mid 1998 (I'm pretty sure I registered a few weeks prior to the join date shown on my profile), and I tend to post heavily during really "newsy" times (impeachment, presidential elections).
To have been around here when the Clinton scandals broke, including impeachment was a lifesaver. So many came here to vent, to find solace/a calm port in a storm during that terrible time.
I can't even begin to imagine having to go through a time like that without a place like FR. Gives me the damn chills just *thinking* about it...ugh.
What a long, strange trip it's been....
Very cool! Thanks for noticing. I guess this means that we share some kind of bond.
Unless I'm mistaken, there was a time when FR was on the WWW when we didn't have to register, then we later had to register, and then we were forced to register again. Maybe it was only one time. I forget.
I do remember the days when posters got treated like chopped liver if they didn't post a valid email address in their signature line. Later on, that went away when the insurgents started gathering that info.
Now in Fl.(ex Ma.thank God)As with Vermonter ,ducking storms. This forum saved my sanity years ago(during the clinton yrs.).Still totally addicted & going strong at 75.
