We Can Lose This Election!

Very Dangerous Conduct Among Republicans and Freepers.

Complacency Kills.

My friends, this is a dangerous time. Never before has there been an election that so threatens America. Simply put, if John Kerry wins, the United States will simply become an “equal citizen” of the world, along with every other country.

John Kerry is much more of a citizen of the “World” than he is a US citizen. Yes, he was born here. However, his education was in the French cantons of Switzerland, at a time when the “Hate Everything American” was stronger there than it is even now. Today, we are simply seeing the regurgitation of what his far-left liberal French teachers taught him.

But, with all that is at stake, we Conservatives are much too complacent. We all, myself included, act like this was in the bag.

We were also way ahead in 2000.

The election of John Kerry would mean the end of the America we know today.

We must not be complacent. We must work so very hard every day. Get signs up, attach bumper stickers. There has been a very quiet campaign within the gay community to emplace signs and bumper stickers. We must counter that.

Every day, in every way possible, we have to act like our country’s future depended on our work. It does.

We have to hustle like we were 20 points behind in the polls. We have to give of ourselves in every way possible.

The candidate and his or her supporters who work the hardest win elections.

Let’s outwork them every day.

Yes, that's why they have Jimmy Carter out there saying that Florida doesn't conform to "international standards" (read Marxist-Leninist standards). If Florida is close, again, they plan to really fight it, this time. Kerry has over 4,000 lawyers on-call to dispute vote tallies wherever they can. These people will stop at nothing to gain back the power they have lost. If each of us asks ten people a day to vote for President Bush (and provide reasons to do so) we will win in November. Do you have a car, mini-van, SUV or other vehicle? How many people are you planning on taking to the polls? (make sure you aren't transporting Dems, let 'em walk!) Have you canvassed your surrounding neighborhoods and suburbs for Bush/Cheney? Yes, I know it might mean missing a ballgame or a nap, but is your country worth the effort? The Democrats are FIRED UP this year, and there will be millions of them out doing door-to-door and other grassroots work, as well as the free cigarettes and wine like last time. Can we afford to sit on our hands? How about taking the money you were going to use for a weekend vacation, new suit or outfit, a night on the town or a new rod & reel, and send it to Bush/Cheney 2004 instead. Brown bag it til Nov. 2nd, and send the money you will save to the Swifties. If Kerry wins, look for Edwards to develop a "mysterious illness" and Hillary to take his place.

Especially people in NY, PA and other states where the race is "close" or in a "dead heat", everyone get out and vote and be sure to spread the word to all friends and family to make sure that they are registered and get out to vote for GW BUSH IN 2004, their votes can make the difference, and this is a must win election year for Bush. Considering what the libs are willing to do to win I would say it is very possible that we could lose this election.

Vigilance is required. Every time an election is held when the vote is expected to be close or a slight lead for one candidate, voters stay home assuming its in the bag.

Better to be slightly behind in the polls so to inspire others to vote. If come election day Kerry is slightly behind in the projected polls. Bush voters will
more likely stay home while Kerry puppets will rally and
assure the vote.

Agreed and I am really tired of reading those "Kerry is toast" posts. He is not done until he's a post-election krispy critter who's fully cooked and drained. Better to play it like it's anybody's to win or lose, which is reality.

Well I don't know how much good we can do here in Arizona, where Pres. Bush now has a comfortable lead. In the state we just returned from after 4 months, Washington, we could have helped more. It's hard to do long-distance though.

Is there any way we can help with the national election from a supposedly "safe red state"?

Hey not fair to single me out! I not only volunteer, but I've had a Bush/Cheney sticker on my car since 2000 :-)

Good Points! That is why every Freeper needs to call their State GOP (even if your state is considered safe) and volunteer to be part of Task Force 72 to get out the Republican vote on election day.

Here in Oklahoma which is totally Bush, we have a Task Force 72 up and running in the State under the umbrella of Victory 2004! We are opening an office here in Norman (Cleveland County) next week for Task Force 72 and will start using the phone bank that is being put in to line up volunteers and get out the vote for Bush-Cheney, Dr. Coburn, and the rest of our candidates. Turnout of Republicans in this election is vital for the top of the ticket in Pres Bush to the County CourtHouse candidates.

In Cleveland County (home of the Sooners), we are also hosting a fundraiser on 10 October for our County CourtHouse candidates who are always being left out. This will be a first for our County to raise funds for three really good candidates. If any OK Freepers would like to attend, please freep mail me and I will get you the details!

If you haven't volunteered, go do so today -- pick up your phone and call your State GOP, Victory 2004, or your local County Party and offer your time. There are so many things you can do to help get Republicans to the polls on November 2nd. Task Force 72 needs every person they can get to make sure we win this election on November 2nd.

This is all true. Trust me people the stickers and signs DO make a differance, as much as some people hate them they do work, every time a lib sees one of these on the road or a sign in someone's yard they start to get a little discouraged. Espcially in a state like CA or NY where libs think it's always a lock for the Democrats.

We need to take the day off and make sure we volunteer to drive folks to the polls.
That's the bottom line.

We have to hustle like we were 20 points behind in the polls.

I am getting really tired of this. 20-points-behind thinking does not get people to hustle. It only gets people to think their efforts are futile.

Complacency is a problem, but getting people to think they are losing is an even bigger one. People are attracted to winners. They're not attracted to losers.

Also a good thing to help is to make sure people are well aware of the times their voting booths open in the morning, and how long they will stay open. And also maps to locations of places to vote. Heck I've been living here for 3 years and I'm still not sure where all the voting locations are in my area.

I got a call from the Florida Headquarters almost a month ago, setting the schedule for GOTV phone banks for November 1st and 2nd. I volunteered to work both days, and I am really looking forward to it.
