Go figure, the pope is a global communist.
He's an establishment figure - and the establishment wants higher taxes and more governance.
Yes --- Jesus preached about personal charity --- but what the Pope seems to want is international Marxism. "From those according to their abilities, to those according to their needs."
It's the Protestant Work Ethic, attitude toward self-governance, and Calvinist life-style that actually led to a society with a huge middle class and comfortable life-style for anyone who would work for it --- Catholic countries like Mexico and all of Latin America maintain large class divisions and wealth for only a small handful.
Give me your house, your car, your gun, your dog, your job, your bed, your yard, your ranch, your . . ping.
yeah it is disheartening. The church is supposed to help to poor. If we use world communism instead, then we dont need a church do we.
The Pope is European. They are born loving the ideas of communism. He learned that the reality of communism in Poland stunk, but he still loves the idea that we can all have the same material goods if governments mandate it.
Jesus never said that. He spoke of the responsibility of His followers to feed the poor and take care of the orphaned, but He never lectured governments about it. If all of us did "love our neighbor as ourselves" the governments, that always do a poor job of this business, wouldn't be tempted to buy votes with the taxpayers' money and call it the "common welfare."
Calumny is a sin. John Paul fought against Soviet communism, and helped free Eastern Europe.
I object to your comments.
You may disagree with the Pope on this matter, as I do, but to call him a communist is unforgivable, especially given the fact that he lived under that tyrrany for 60 years and helped Ronald Reagan dump it onto the ash heap of history. Try and be more prudent in your critique.
