Bump!!!
Excellent..!
We'll get him with Vietnam. We'll get him with Iraq.
Good work Christie!!! Proof once again that a FReeper in jammies works harder than most main stream journalist.
Nice job bump.
A wonderful piece of work! Thank you for the heads up.
BTTT!
Great work, christie! I see you mention a 2004 book by Yossef Bodansky; his earlier book, "Bin Laden: The Man Who Declared War on America", first published in its original edition before 9/11, also detailed the Iraq-Osama connection, tracing its roots back to the immediate aftermath of the Gulf War and placing its growth in the context of developments under the Clinton administration. I'll review my notes on it later and see if there's anything to add to what you have here.
Wow, Thanks for the Ping
There are hundreds of articles, but so many have dead links. Tried to give just a sample. Let me know what you find.
Done...thanks for all your work....connecting the dots...
Just wanted to add my compliments to your post.
First-rate work, and well-appreciated.
Ok..I e-mailed it to the Instapundit blog, he's second in blog traffic, hope he uses it.
This is a great effort and a productive, useful way to present it.

I have several posts on the links, let me share this one in particular:
http://freedomstruth.blogspot.com/2004/07/saddams-regime-and-al-qaeda.html
It quotes the 9/11 Commission report and also mentions the other speculation, eg, by wolfowitz, Steven Hayes, and others. But even with the consensus view of the 9/11 Commission, we have contacts between Saddan and AQ in the 1990s and an offer of safe haven from Saddam to Osama Bin Laden.

Great chart, thanks! There are also solid links between Saddam and bin Laden through Abu Sayyaf...
"'Iraqis aiding us,' admits Abu Sayyaf"

http://www.cnn.com/2001/WORLD/asiapcf/southeast/09/28/gen.phil.sayaff/
"Yousef, convicted of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, had established a cell in the Philippines and trained members of the Abu Sayyaf between 1994-1995.
Yousef is a well-known disciple of militant leader Osama bin Laden.
One of the biggest breakthroughs in anti-terrorism investigations came in 1995 when police stumbled onto Yousef's safe-house in Manila.
His laptop computer contained coded information that gave investigators proof of the link between Abu Sayyaf and bin Laden.
"We were able to establish that all along, bin Laden has been directly supporting the Abu Sayyaf through Khalifa, his brother-in-law," says Avelino Razon, the former head of the Presidential Security Guard in 1995."
christie, great connecting!
thank you
