This is why I don't bother watching Russert anymore. Sunday mornings used to be a ritual of paper, coffee, and all the Sunday morning shows. First the paper dropped off, now the Sunday morning shows have dropped off, but I still have my coffee :o)
I did the same thing, but took it one step further. I substituted reading FR instead of the morning paper, and I read the Sunday morning talk show thread instead of watching them. I just sip my coffee in front of the computer screen instead of the TV screen now! LOL
I have the same ritual but my local paper did a cheap hit job on Bush in the Sunday edition (the only day I buy it). It bugs me that they won't admit their bias up front. I figure that if I stop reading it I will save $73 a year, plus the time and gas I spend going to buy it. I'll miss the good coffee I buy along with it but, with the time and money I save I can buy some expensive coffee, grind it myself, read Free Republic on Sunday morning, and still have $50 left over for the SwiftVets and related causes. I really have to face up to the fact that I can't complain about these left-wing newspapers if I continue to support them with my purchase just because no conservative newspaper is readily available in my area.
