So we're supposed to trust the views of a man who exaggerated alleged atrocities in Vietnam versus a man who actually lives in Iraq, governs Iraq, and has daily experience with the Iraqi people???
We're supposed to trust a man who believes the terrorism threat is exaggerated versus a man who acknowledged small pockets of insurgents but gives an overall vision of hope for the Iraqi people, including 13 of 18 provinces ready for elections now?
We're supposed to believe a man who not only skipped Allawi's speech, but took the opportunity to discredit his words versus a man who came here, humble and grateful, and thanked ALL Americans?
We're supposed to trust a man who says Americans need to know the truth when he has spent a career embellishing lies and twisting the truth, versus a man who lives the truth every single day in a country liberated from a brutal dictator?
So we're supposed to trust Kerry over Allawi?
No way, Johnny boy. Allawi has shown today that he's a better candidate than you.

Absolutely amazing. The PM of Iraq gives a major speech full of thanks and gratitude to the United States and Kerry cheapens it into a political stunt. Incredible.

I'm glad I found this article posted! I tried to post it and got mocked because is was a duplicate post.
Anyway, what I wanted to say is, Kerry needs to keep talking...He makes himself look worse and worse the more he says!

What makes Kerry look even more incredibly stupid, is that Allawi gave a tremendous, earnest detailed speech both before Congress (many standing ovations), and also before the press. Kerry's arrogance and defeatist position does not nor will resonate with the American people. Kerry isn't helping anyone, and is in fact hurting our troops, just like he did in 1971.

before we went into Iraq The left said we would loose a hundred thousand troops. They were wrong!
The left said we didn't have enough troops on the ground to pull it off. They were wrong!
Two weeks into the campaign the left said we were bogged down and in a quagmire. A week later we were in Baghdad. They were wrong again.
The left said it would be a nightmare of urban fighting in Baghdad and we couldn't win. Again they were wrong.
Now the left are saying again we don't have enough troops. They are wrong.
The left is saying again we are bogged down in a quagmire. Again they are wrong.
The left again says we are losing despite conditionS in Iraq being far above prewar conditions . Again they are wrong.
The death rate is higher in Washington DC then in Iraq. Granted Americans and Westerners are targets of the insurgents however Iraq is far better off then with Saddam in power.
The Left thinks if they just repeat the same tired rhetoric and cliches over and over perhaps it will stick. Once Again THEY ARE WRONG!

"Bush 'missed a huge opportunity' at the United Nations this week to try to persuade leaders of other nations..." Kerry said. Considering you took your first opportunity to insult the leader of Iraq, you're in no position to criticize President Bush about diplomacy.
Kerry said. "I will do a better job of dealing with Iraq and winning the war and fighting the war on terror, period."
Not when you spit in the face of Iraq's Prime Minister.
What a doofus.

Does not President alLawi know that John Kerry has been to Iraq ? He served in Vietnam too, against North Vietnam (before he served for them).
