There was several key factors.

Her not following court orders. Her history of pulling the kid's from school to school(last time she pulled them out of private Christian school) her telling my daughter she could not be seen happy in public when with me. The days they missed school when with her on and on. Her being upset with my son when she found out he was happy with me.

Ahhh, not so, Dad. My ex husband just won primary custody of his twin girls (not my kids - another wife). It cost him $80,000, but he won custody in New Jersey.

Congratulations, I have a co-worker (Male) Who kept a log of the unfit mother's activities just as you and he won.

If a mother is truly unfit you just have to give enough rope and she will hang herself.

This man realized he had a real problem when he caught the mother holding the child underwater in the bath tub!
So, as you can imagine he filed for a restraining order.

He won even though they were not married.

I agree!

Kid's need both parents but when one is constantly degrading the other it works havoc on a childs mind!

I never degraded their Mom in any way when they were with me.

Their Mom put her needs in front of theirs.

I hope that their Mom will see this as a wake up call and do what is best for the kid's and build a healthy relationship with them.

I have had support and prayers from many who knew what I was going through!

I never ever gave up on what was best for them and will never ever give up!

I did every thing I could to work it out to where we both would work for what was best for them but their Mom never complied but used the kid's as a way to get to me.

You've done a good thing after a hard battle I bet, so difficult to go through this I'm sure, can't imagine the pain. You wife and women like this usually try to turn the hearts and minds of their children into hatred for men. Your children would have had consequences that would have lasted them all their lives, affected all their relationships, their own marriages some day, their relationships with their own children. It is criminal what these types of women do, may not be physical evidence but sometimes the things you don't see are worse. Prayers for you!!

You da man!

Now, earn it.

I've been there and done that, and you really have to skate hard every shift.

God bless you and your children.

Way to go...

I too have custody of my two children, was awarded sole occupancy of the home and everything in it. Long story!!!!

We have done what is right for our children and they will thank us for it many years from now.

Then she got exactly what she deserves..........very good for you...Bravo!

I never meant to offend and please accept my apologies if you thought so......I was just offering you what I have always felt was the most important point "which are the kids"......too many of these divorces usually end up in fighting and ignore the kids who are in the middle. I blame the lawyers for a lot of it....after all, for many of them it's a business isn't it?

I have an Uncle who is a lawyer....his attitude about stuff like this bothers the hell out of me....then again he's the one who divorced his wife and screwed up his kids because of it....and he had the nerve to make fun of my father by very condescendingly calling him a "Victorian" man..........Personally, I think there was more jealousy in the turn of that phrase by my uncle then any other emotion. My father wore that phrase like a badge of honor!

God bless you and good luck to you and your children.

I told my son to keep a journal from the beginning and though he hasn't fought for custody it helped him reduce the child support from $958 per month to $145 simply because they live with him 90% of the time. He has kept his journal for over 3 yrs in case he ever feels he has to fight for custody.

We're happy for you.

Now. Why did you beat your wife and who have you got to kick around now?

Just kidding. Enjoy yourself. Get a bottle and a babe and celebrate.

"You know that there are statistics that show that when men do fight for custody, they win a substantial amount of the time."

According to the NOW feminists, .01% of fathers "fight" (meaning in honest-speak, to spend all of their families' savings on lawyers) for custody of their kids. And according to NOW feminists, fathers win in court 90% of the time.

Fathers very rarely get primary/sole custody of their children in divorce cases. We should repeal no-fault divorce laws, and let those who file for divorces walk with the clothes on their backs.

Congrats to you both. Please take full advantage of the gift you have been given.

It appears the situation has changed here in the Garden State since my daughter and I went through this ordeal. Glad to hear it.

That speaks volumes about the judgment of his ex, especially if they have daughters.

The judgement of the person who marries such a woman is rarely called into question.
