Re your post 21, I agree with everything but one state is definitely beyond reach: Maryland. Spiro Agnew and the current token Republican governor notwithstanding, that place is a Democratic stronghold beyond belief. Three reasons: Baltimore, and Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties.
The rest of the state is sane.
I would have to say that instinctively I would agree with you, but the numbers say Bush can take MD.
I agree with what you say about Senator Dole; but, I would swear I remember, and my wife does too, the Democrats making a lot of noise about it 'not showing serious intent' and that running as a full time candidate would be an abrogation of his Senate duties.
I KNOW they don't want to bring up anything about Kerry's abrogation of Senate duties, since abrogating is all he's spent twenty years doing.
I just saw it as a goose/gander issue; one of many.
IIdon'tRC, then I'll start looking around for a memory transplant.
Just my personal opinion, but I think the skerry campaign will make mcgovern look like a successful campaign. And the only state he carried was massachusettes.
Wouldn't it be great if they tossed skerry and kennedy from the senate???
I think NC is still in play.
I don't.
ARG has Bush up 5 with 6% undecided.
ARG is not trustworthy, IMO.
Nice post. And as the Kerry ship sinks even further into the depths, this means that donors will see their campaign as a losing cause, which means that the cash squeeze will accentuate, which means pulling out of more states, which means the ship sinks even further, which means....
well I think you get the idea ;)
I've heard that from others. I'm trying to find their data on 2000.
That's what it looks like to me, too. I hope I'm not missing anything!! :o)
Good news. President Bush's campaign should move into Kerry's territory now, such as New Jersey and Minnesota. Make Kerry's fight for his "safe" states.
The new Fox News Dynamics poll just came out. President Bush is leading with both men and women and yet he is only 4% ahead of Kerry. How can this be?
I believe the only state McGovern carried was South Dakota, his home state.
I agree. It would be a wonderful day if sKerry and the swimmer were tossed from the senate.
ARG has a bias of about 5% towards the Dems ... so Bush is really up by about 10%. Just watch, Bush will take NC with a double digit lead on election day. Just a prediction.
