COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry canceled a campaign visit to Columbus on Thursday because of a strained voice, a campaign spokeswoman said Wednesday night. "With the debates coming up, he needs to balance his campaign schedule and keep his voice strong," spokeswoman Kathy Roeder said.
[snip]
Kerry also canceled a trip to Iowa on Thursday to rest his voice, and the campaign said vice presidential nominee John Edwards would take his place.

He's wasted and he will be getting worse, not better. He ain't up to a presidential campaign. But this no-show-in-the-Senate punk sure has a sharp tongue when it comes to slagging George Bush

I think the man has more illness than his throat. Keep a close eye on the next 5 -10 days.

There can be several causes of laryngitis. I know: I have it off and on and I remember that my mother did, as well. It can be independent of any illness. It can be caused by stress. One can have laryngitis w/no pain in the throat, either.
To be fair, all candidates are talking constantly. But I remember that Dubya came to La Crosse in May w/a hoarse voice. Many people commented afterward that they would have understood if he had canceled out. But he didn't. And he gave a strong speech, anyway. And has not canceled one appearance due to his voice.
Kerry may be frail. He may be under a lot of stress. He may lose the debates and blame that on his voice, too.
All I care about is that he loses the election by a wide margin.

Must be time for another botox injection in those sagging jowls and bagging eyesOoh, I think you're right!
Maybe he'll get a shot of secret serum too. Sort of like what JFK used to get for a boost here and there.

I shouldn't laugh but I heard him on the news tonight and told my husband that I hope he keeps that laryngitis for a few days. I hope he goes windsurfing somewhere.

Let's see. Bush has to be president and also campaign. Kerry can't do his job as a senator because it would interfere with campaigning -- but no one misses him at work.
Now he can't get through a week of campaigning without taking the next week off.
My guess is he's suffering from Swiftitis.

(Notice the "great debtor" reputation being upheld at all costs? What's the media going to do when Bush blows him out of the water?)
I'm sure you meant the great "debator", but "great debtor" sounds more realistic for a democrat.

So what will happen is, Bush will continue campaigning hard with no letup, and Monsieur LeQuerry will be at home in his fainting chair. Public perception will continue to solidify...

"Hey Carvile , Begala, you guys lurking?"Just saw Carville on O'Reilly -- Carville had a look in his eye I have not seen before. He wasn't his usual self and only gave his big grin near the end (I think I missed the beginning ) and then as the segment ended, the smile disappeared and the looked came back into his eyes. Seemed like he had something serious on his mind.
