Roger stone - Republican Operative - Behind CBS Forged Docs?
New York Post ^ | September 21, 2004 | Fredric Dicker

Posted on 09/21/2004 4:17:37 PM PDT by BJungNan

The hot rumor in New York political circles has Roger Stone, the longtime GOP activist, as the source for Dan Rather's dubious Texas Air National Guard "memos."

The irony would be delicious, since Rather became famous confronting President Nixon, in whose service a very young Stone became associated with political "dirty tricks."

Reached at his Florida home, Stone had no comment.

McAwful: "These fake documents were White House plants.
They hoodwinked the DNC and CBS, taking advantage of our
lust for power and general gross incompetence on technical
stuff like typography, jargon, names, dates, places; that
sort of complicated stuff. It's all just so unfair."

Folks, this is what absolute utter panic looks like.

This was not a sting (by Rove, Nader or Clinton, nor
by any experienced dirty trickster).

As I've said in many threads, these docs are too clumsy to
be a sting. No clear-thinking operator could have counted
on so many key people exhibiting zero skepticism and zero
judgement, much less staying in denial until their complete
self-destruction.

It was much more likely that the fakes would get stopped
well before exploding in Dan's face, and then turned into
an expose of a failed dirty trick (as they are now vainly
attempting).

It was either a deliberate amateur forgery or someone's
gag that escaped into the wild.

The DNC/KerryKamp/CBS can play the victim card if they
like, but it is not a winning hand.

This feint does suggest that CBS either doesn't know who
the actual author is, or thinks they can conceal while
they run the RNC-trickster flag up the pole.

It seems to me that the "plant" going on in this Roger Stone story would be the DNC feeding it to the Dim masses to help them ease into the reality that the docs CBS used are really forged.

From what I can see, it has been very therapeutic for them. All last week they could not stop insisting the docs were real. With this Roger Stone angle they can transition their minds into acceptance the docs are fake and into a new delusion that the docs are a plant.

If you were trying to move the Dim DU masses, isn't that what you would do? They are such sheep over there.

I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Dan Rather hasn't even admitted they were forged yet.
There are several dozen things which independently indicate that

the CBS Memos are crude forgeries.

As if a refusal to deny means anything. They haven't asked me yet, but I'll probably refuse to deny as well if they do. :)

Everyone planning to deny that you were the source of the forged CBS documents, raise your hand!

No, there is only one Roger Stone. He is a Republican (rather conservative, at that) and he did run Sharpton's campaign - and raise some Republican dollars for Sharpton -so as to keep Sharpton in the race as long as possible - because Stone knows middle-American cannot stand the bum.

Stone was a consultant with Black, Manafort, and Stone. He was a co-founder of the National Conservative Political Action Committe (along with Charlie Black and Terry Dolan) in the late 1970's - the organization widely credited for knocking off George McGovern, Birch Bayh, and Frank Church.

Stone is brilliant - and he plays the game VERY HARD. In addition to the above, Stone was at one point in time he a confidante of the late Lee Atwater. Therefore, Stone is ALWAYS a potential target for Democrat slings and arrows.

Ah, this is all so much more complicated than first meets the eye. There is a secret, ancient code that must be decifered to truly know the origin of the "forged" documents, and for that translation we must access Roger's sister, Rosetta. Either that or just laugh in these idiot's faces, as ALL of them just days ago claimed to believe these docs to be genuine. Which is it, they either knew where they came from, or knew they were phony, either way the Dems are culpable.

FREEPER threads would make for a good book to eventually read to my grandkids: The Legend of the Hole in the White House Wall Gang: When Karl Rove, Roger Stone and Other Tricksters Rode Rather Out of the Woossie East

This story has nothing to do with any Repubs. Face it, Dems work off FEELINGS, not facts.

That is why you can hang this story around Dan's neck.

The hot rumor in New York political circles

Yeah, right..."hot rumor". To us non-New York liberal types we know it better as denial.

The more they lie and coverup, the more mud they bury themselves in it. Terry the pirate continues his voyage to the bottom of the slime pit.

From the phychological manner in which liberals think, I'm surprised it hasn't been brought up that GW himself and staff produced the forged documents in order to set up the "honest and balanced" CBS organization.

Political operatives, by law, should be forced to wear a portable lie detector that uses LED output on a badge they'd have to wear in the front of their shirt.

But, in this case, all they need to be are Democrats and you can be 99.9% certain they are lying.
