I look back on what they did to those four contractors months ago. From the crowds gleefully participating in the desecration, I'd say there are few innocents left that would justify preserving the city. You want more humanity? Ok, let the women and children out. Nuke the rest.
How do you know which women and children aren't part of the plot?
I hate to sound mean, but kill them all. Before they kill us. Period.
I guess if we have to settle, sure. I agree that we must do whatever is necessary to win the war on terror. But our national character will be defined for coming generations by how we comport ourselves now. Wanton destruction to calm our outrage may help win the war. But it will also redefine who we are. There is a place for rage--the enemy. We should cut as wide a swath as necessary to kill our enemy and the regimes that support him. Killing beyond that erodes our character. And that is important because our national identity is already under assault by the left--a group that doesn't value life, the Constitution, the rule of law, or Judeo/Christian morality. We should wage this war in a manner that our enemies will understand, no doubt, but we must not sacrifice our belief in the value of all human life. Not for the sake of the muslims, but for ours.
There are 250,000 people living in Fallujah. I'm guessing ... 60-70 ... hopped up goofballs were dancing around the Blackwater corpses.
What's your point again?
