Thune is sort of a disappointment. He had a couple of chances to hit one out of the park, but instead he just danced and weaved. Saddam's WMDs are in Syria. We all know that, but nobody will say it. John passed up the opportunity and just stammered around instead.
Despite Thune's insipidness, I still say The Deeply Saddened One is history.
I guess we disagree. Thune's doing fine... better than fine. Daschle is nervous and it shows.
(And I admit that I thought Thune was weak in '02. He's not taking it this time.)
