Question for someone who might have knowledge of shows like 60 Minutes: How much freedom is granted to an anchor of a show like 60 Minutes to say the things that he wants to say, regardless of whether the statements are true, without the approval of the producers and/or the executives? Am I wrong in thinking that the producers and executives at CBS had a hand in this fraudulent reporting?

According to another thread, Rather is also the "Managing Editor" of CBS News, which means HE is the decision-maker who decides what is news.
