I'm not him, but my answer would be, because I want to....stuff it in your hat

OK, still doesn't change the fact that it is none of anyone's business, like it or not. I have a suggestion about where you can stuff it if you are stuffing. I can see you're a tolerant gentleman or lady of the Pacific NW.

Rush Limbaugh was the pioneer of conservative, or Republican at least, talk radio. He was great in Sac when he developed this format and he has gotten greater as he has progressed. He has made it his life's work to climb into the Liberal Socialits mind and to understand the political fallout. Those who listen to Rush on a daily basis will learn and be educated. He is still the King.

How about Hugh Hewitt and our favorite radio addiction Laura?

Anyway, it doesn't bother me if he is a Mormon.

I'm sure it bothers God though, since he's made it clear that he's the only God there is (See book of Isaiah cahp. 43-45), and "you shall have no other Gods before me".

Since the Mormons teach that Mormon males who are member of the "priesthood" can become Gods themselves (with their own planet, etc.), I'm sure this is not cool with the only true God. But I digress.

His whole show is like he is trying out stale comedy gigs.

Yes. He tries to har dot be funny and witty. It comes across as a bit too contrived for my taste. But, hey, if he can make money at it, more power to him. I love the free market :o)

1. Limbaugh- no doubt the best 2. Levin-- The Great one 3. Hannity-- although I can't stand "hannitization of America" I think pretty annoying 4. Savage

I'd say that we are two like minds in this arena. Spot on. Thanks. Despite Rush's sometimes arrogance, and haughty personna, his staff really gets him up to speed. I also believe that his staff follows FR. I know that I pick up pieces here and forward to Rush. On another thought; Rush does not need the money. I truly believe that he is doing his part as a Patriotic American in trying to keep the Republic of the United States America as whole as he perceives as it should be. I really respect Rush.

I'll try to listen to both Laura and Hugh this week if I can. Thanks!

ehhhh if we wanted "happy" we'd all tune in to Katie Couric every day. Who needs that?

Not true. Rush and Sean are upbeat and optimistic. Matt needs a little more joy in his life. He has great info but he is depressingly biting and sour on the night before we all start our workweeks.

Without Rush, the others would be much less.

Well it's like anything, watch something else instead.

[shrug] I remember times where he's talked about spirituality and God and good stories that have happened, and there's plenty of dirty rotten crap to talk about regarding politics, etc. I see Rush and Sean as mostly straight-party-line & monotonous, so even if they're "upbeat" I wouldn't know it 'cause they turn me off from listening. Unless there's breaking news of some sort. I don't feel the need to be "made" upbeat at the start of the week, I just want to know what's going on.

el Rushbo!

No one else is even close, which incidentally, is exactly what the ratings show.

and without airs.

Lol. Other than the "I went to Harvard, I worked in the Reagan White House, I helped Nixon write a book, etc". He's easily one of the most self-absorbed characters on the airwaves. He always makes me think of a high school class president sucking up to the faculty.

Well I spent about 30 minutes with him on the other side of the table. I had a different impression. Now Chris Cox, with whom I did the same, was a rather robotic cold fish. He was no guy to have a beer with.

Michael Medved...um...no. He's too hostile toward right wing radicals.

Michael, having left behind the Hard Left of his youth, now thinks he's the one to purge the Right to make it more comfortable for his delicate sensibilities.

You're clearly a Savage (that erstaz nutter) kind of guy. But you might be fun to have a beer with, just like Savage.

Hendrie has a writing staff. The "callers" who argue with Phil's characters aren't exactly random.

I haven't listened to Savage since he moved to KRLA, but I did find him amusing in the past. Reminds me a bit of Mort Sahl, if you remember him. I enjoyed Wiener's, er, 'Savage's' musings on Italian food, ethnic behaviors, his pals from his childhood, life in the 50s and 60s. And he can rant with the best of them.

These days I try to catch John and Ken's Political Human Sacrifice. Easily the most inspired political radio of the season. Besides, I've despised that little phoney David Dreier for years, and I relish seeing him running in fear from the hostile natives of southern California. Hewitt used to suck up to Dreier on a regular basis, which only confirmed my opinion of the perennial class president.

Before you get too much into flaming Mormons, remember that they usually support CONSERVATIVE candidates. Most likely Florida Mormons made the difference in the 2000 election. There aren't many Mormons down here but I'm sure there are several times the 537 that Bush officially won this state by.

I don't know much about Mormon theology but I still can't figure out how they make it thru the mornings since they don't drink coffee. Also they seem to be kind of white bread types. One time I was on a flight out of Costa Rica and there was a young Mormon guy sitting next to me. He was writing in his diary and out of curiousity I snuck a few peeks out of the corner of my wrap-around sunglasses. Contrary to what most single American guys experience in Costa Rica (use your imagination), this guy's most exciting experience there was getting a flat tire on his rented jeep. But I digress....however, isn't life itself an endless series of digressions?

I wish there was a way for me to do my Glenn Beck over-the-top, har-de-har, stale comedy impression on this board. His shtick really grates on my nerves but I get my revenge by doing wicked Glenn Beck impressions.

Yes, it's true they support conservative candidates. But since their eternal destiny is even more important than the temporal, I will always tell the truth about them (which I don't think is a flame).

I don't know much about Mormon theology

One of my old Bible teachers was an expert on the cults, and wrote extensively on Mormonism. I'm glad for conservatives to have the Mormon vote, and I find many Mormons to be very decent people. However, from the standpoint of Christian theology, they have a definitely blasphemous system.

The ultimate insult to the creator is to believe we can be a god just as the creator. Not good. But...back to Glenn Beck, I wish I could hear your impersonation :o)
