Right click on the image, select properties: http://www.intellicast.com

Select US weather - select radar - select the view you want at the lower right of the national radar image.

In what location was the picture you posted taken?

Looks to me like Ashburn Village, if I had to guess.

"Tornado now reported entering Cheasapeak Bay & heading towars the tunnel"

How much protection is afforded by the water and by the structure itself?

Good Grief! The bad news is, Ted Kennedy's wieght will likely keep him from being blwon away.

Seriously, I hope people are heeding the alerts-tornadoes are nothing to sneeze at. Those ones in the pics look like nasty suckers.

That looks bad....especially being such a heavily populated area.

mine's out delivering Papa John's !!!

Good Lord! People better tip WELL!

I have to say I feel for the coaches. Last report I had said the boys weren't allowed to run to their cars to get backpacks to do homework. What a nightmare!

On another note, they changed the meet-up location last time from The Virginian to the BBQ place near Baskin Robbins. We even got to watch Fox News!

My daughter is visiting Virginia Beach and she just called to say that things are fine. In fact, they were getting ready to go out to dinner. It wasn't even raining as of 15 minutes ago.

I dunno, but WMAL (630 AM) had a truck driver on earlier who said that a tornado had just crossed the road in front of him.

WMAL is NOW reporting a tornado 3mi SE of Waldorf, moving north at 40mph

I haven't driven up 355 in twenty years... are you saying that Cider Barrel and the trailer park there are history?

And what about that one up by the old Cracked Claw location, north of Beahm's junk yard, not CC's "new" location at the old Peter Pan.

Come to think of it, MoCo doesn't have any junk yards anymore either, do they?

*L* They'll understand us better, one day.

We're from Kansas so we're fairly used to tornadic storms. My concern was that they may not have been paying attention since they're on vacation.
