I think he needs to be in the administration. Perhaps US representative to the United Nations or maybe Ambassador to France.

Press Secretary would be a good position for Staudt.
Maybe he could cause Helen Thomas to shake off this mortal coil.
joint appointment with Zell Miller as Director of White House Communications!
Then make Zell Miller the Ambassador to the UN for one month only. He should be able to lace them up one side and down the other in that time. Then a one-month tour as the ambassador to France. Then give him a real job, like Ambassador to China. Let him clean up that godawful mess the clintons/gore/kerry made of it.
