ABC News has an exclusive interview with Col. Stoudt, the retired colonel who allegedly pressured Killian to cover for Lt. Bush during his Air National Guard stint according to forged documents aired by CBS News.
Stoudt says the docs are fake, he never pressured Killian about Bush and he did nothing to help Bush get into the Air National Guard in fact he was happy to have as many pilots as he could.
It's not just reporters. It's the young, "we went to a very good school on Daddy's money" producer types.
PS, The techs are different. The CBS techs are all union, (NABET is I can remember correctly) but don't like much BS.
I'm guessing the techs are sitting back, smiling quietly, saying to themselves (OUIETLY), "The AH got what was coming to him. Rather, the bully who could dish it out but couldn't take it. Effim if he can't take a joke!"
If there's one thing journalists enjoy is rubbing dirt in the noses of their competition. They're loving this.
Your "PJ Flag" needs one of this stitched-on shirt pockets!
Seems ABC is rather enjoying tearing Dano a new one.
I'm just loving all of this. LOL
I went out on a double date with a weekend news director of a local station a couple of years back. The other guy on the "date" worked at the same station he did. When they started talking shop, it was about which on-air people were always doing their reports while drunk.
That was an OLD quote from the link posted earlier.
Yep...chaises coming up...maybe some recliners too!
I just reposted the image that DaughterofEve had posted earlier....might be a nice addition though.
I was reading recently about how unlike NBC, which groomed Brian Williams, with Brokaw's consent, for Williams eventually taking over Tom's anchor spot, Dan Rather has prevented CBS from grooming a replacement for him. I still don't get why Dan Rather has such incredible power at CBS, when his show is in last place.
I am thinking he has dirt on somebody in the executive suite. Probably a forged memo or something.
Nah, I don't think that's it at all. Rather figured if Staudt spoke out, he could be marginalized as being a Bush supporter, which is what Rather has done with every witness against his report.
ABC NEWS is turning the screws on Dan Rather. I'm afraid CBS NEWS' legs were cut off underneath them. It tickles me pink to watch Dan twist slowly in the wind...
Yeah, but Rather's been anchor for over 20 years now, and those execs come and go. I think part of it is that they don't have an obvious replacement, so they feel they're stuck with him.
ABC put the story on-line.

We had a 10:00 anchor in TX. He would come back from "dinner" so blasted, there was a seat belt on his anchor chair.
He could keep it together for about 30 seconds at a time, however, and do a great lead in to a reporter's package.
"Good evening, I'm Bob Iizzard (real name.) Here's the news. Two cars tangled on the interstate tonight and three local residents are dead. Larry XXXXX has the story.
Larry would then do a report, while Izzard crashed on the newsdesk.
Thank you!
Burkett and Moore are closer than than unprotected porn stars at a shoot.
ROTFL From the way the guys were talking, that sort of thing was the rule, rather than the exception around here. Wisconsin has a well earned reputation, trust me.
You are very welcome. :o)
"I love the guy," Staudt said of Bush. "I'm so tired of this negative crap about him that I'd like to volunteer to build a barn and take you press guys out behind it and kick your asses."
Holy sh!t, this guy owns.
