This is just out of curiousity, as I just vacationed in Destin, FL, last week in August. Does anyone know if there was any significant damage there? I heard the the northeast quadrant (which would include FWB-Destin), received the brunt of the storm.

BTW, Destin, and areas east, like Sandestin, Grayton Beach and Seaside, are beautiful places. I wish them the best.

TWC reporter walking down streets covered with "deep" sand. Deep as the bottom of a roadside mailbox.Pretty bad there. Lots of pics from the area at these two newspaper sites.
