I've one observation on that: what did this guy think would happen? Doesn't he have any idea what the other side is like?
I would say the father is in part responsible; make that "irresponsible," for putting his daughter in a potentially very dangerous position.
We're obviously not dealing with rational people, not in that crowd - LOOK at them!
Kinda makes you glad we've got the Second Amendment...
Yeah, lets come down on the poor dad.
He made the mistake of thinking that we live in a free country, where we all can state our views without fear of reprisal and violence. He obviously was naive to some extent, and didn't know how the Kerry machine operates. Children are not exempt from their hatred and venom.
I'm sure the Dad now knows the score.
I think I know what I'm going to be doing tomorrow. Having a few Bush/Cheney signs printed up on heavy paper stock of the same type used on those joke untearable sugar packets. Then take some to a Kerry rally and watch the goons rupture themselves trying to rip them up.
Do you think Bush/Cheney supporters would react in the same way at one of our events? He wanted to show his kids the process in action. How folks with differing views can share space without resorting to violence or thuggery. Unfortunately, the average cranial capacity of a Democrat is very limited and does not allow for much rational thought. Union members are not known for having high IQs or good character. They are the dregs, the gutter trash.
