FreeRepublic is a power to be reckoned with-- good stuff. Thanks for sharing:

“You might actually learn something from us merry bands of 'amateur' journalists. You see, we don't have an audience to please. We don't have to sell ad-space, or get face-lifts to keep our jobs. That leaves us free to share information on the subjects we might know a little something about without angering our liberal masters. On Free Republic, you can at times find as many threads angry at Republicans as you can Democrats. We don't have to hire experts, if we don't know something, we can ask a fellow FReeper or use Google, much faster than you can pay someone to tell you what you want to hear.

“On Free Republic alone, there are experts in many fields. We have writers, poets, engineers, aviators, artists, journalists, (they keep that on the down-low), lawyers, historians, teachers, politicians, current and former members of all branches of the military; all who actually know what they are talking about without having a script (or DNC talking points) shoved in their face.

Now because of people like BillyBob, PukinDog, Howlin, and we won't forget Buckhead and every other Freeper, WE ALL HAVE A PODIUM NOW! This must be how my ancestors felt when they won their freedom in 1776.

Thank you. THANK YOU! What a major world class RANT! What is left to be said, after a magnificent exposé like this?

Greatly appreciated, both Billybob and Pukin Dog.

Sincerely,
Char
Valley Village, CA.

Yes. He asked to have his account suspended. He has corresponded with me via e-mail and if you'd like to correspond with him, I will ask him to e-mail you; I think I still have your e-mail address.

He felt that he had become arrogant and wanted to make changes in his personal behavior, IIRC.

I need to be off the net shortly because I'm expecting guests but I will check in later to see if you would like to correspond with him.

Great job. Thank you very much!

P.S. send a copy to Sumner Redstone if you can get to him.

Thanks for the information. I sent you an e-mail.

I am glad to see he left of his own volition...although I will miss his excellent rants!

John,

I assume PD will see the love here. You make sure that happens.

It is the perfect counter to the mess that's going on in other threads. Which is part and parcel of what FR is.

The genie is absolutely out of the bottle.

I don't think he was banned?

Just busy and unable to post on FR?
