This story is great for us, poor John John and Theresa, wouldn't it be great if he freaked out on election night, tore off his clothes and started baying at the moon. On second thought, I don't think anyone, straight, gay, or whatever should be forced to see that man (or his homely wife) bereft of clothing.....My friend's eighty year old Argentinian grandmother calls him Senor Baguette.

Dear Senator Kerry. As a lifelong fan of yours, let me give you some great advise on how to get out of this one.

You aren't screaming loud enough.

">

You must get AlGore and Howard Dean to come out front and center for you. Only their kind of passion will convince the undecided voters that Bush deserted from his physical. And that really, really matters to voters.

Really. Take my advice. I only have your best interests at heart.

Signed,

Hillary Clinton

"freaked out on election night, tore off his clothes and started baying at the moon". This kind of reminds me of the way Al Gore has been acting lately.

"All it does is gin up the Republican conservative base for Bush. They hate Dan Rather as much as they hate John Kerry," said GOP pollster Jim McLaughlin.

ain't that the truth

The reason they are clinging is because there are going to be drug allegations coming down the pike. No physical because the President was afraid they would discover his drug use. Its all a big coordinated scam between the media and the DNC.

The positive change in the Bush/Kerry numbers came about both because of the RNC convension and because of the deadly effectiveness of the SwiftBoat Vet's ads.

At the time Kerry was on the defensive, which he does not do well as he feels he is above that kind of thing.

I see the campaign having changed slightly. It is clear the the DNC with its "Fortunate Son" ad campaign wants this attack to be the "silver bullet." It is also clear they didn't contemplate the forgery issue muddying the waters. Kerry is no longer publicly on the defensive, but it is Dan Rather & CBS on the defensive. This has given Kerry a week's rest.

The DNC would not has started the "Fortunate Son" campaign advertisment unless they had focus group numbers to indicate it would be effective on some level. While it has not gone smoothly for the DNC and Kerry, I am sure that Kerry's folks have seen the focus group results and are now buying into the attack.

What I would like to see is either another attack by those with valid reasons to hate John F'n Kerry (i.e. Swift Boat Vets or others) or a direct attack by the RNC & Bush.

A career of waffling by Kerry, living a life of luxury by money given to him, should have produced a few skeletons. They now need to come out.

I hope that in the next couple weeks we hear about all his really slimy dealings. (Navy reserve officer meeting with Communist Vietnamese government officials in Paris, campaign contributions from really bad people, lapses in moral integrity of various kinds say women, drugs, alcohol, whatever.

In short it is time for a counter attack.

I hope that the "new Bush documents" put the Bush team on the offensive.

It's remarkable how many articles like this I've read in the last few days. They all say that the Kerry campaign is floundering, rudderless and reactive, not proactive. The liberals who write these articles all give Kerry advice while the conservatives just laugh. The Kerry campaign is in incredible amount of trouble. Two months ago I was really worried about this election but no campaign with this much negative press can unseat an incumbent.

Pssst. Hey John. I have some previously unseen fresh documents that prove you're not a complete idiot. They're on the way to Dan right now.

Kerry the Irresolute cannot get any traction with swing voters:
Worried Dems say it shows lack of discipline, lack of strategy, lack of message and freelancing — just what a slipping campaign can't afford. "It's stupid, it's stupid, it's stupid. Get off the National Guard and all that bull. Every day we talk about the National Guard and Vietnam is another day that George Bush wins. No one cares about 30 years ago," a top Dem says.

Another tells of a focus group of swing voters this week where no one even mentioned Rather's Guard flap but an unnerving number "parroted back" attacks on Kerry as a flip-flopper who lied about his Vietnam service. "The Kerry people think they didn't attack Bush hard enough. They're dead wrong. More attacks on Bush aren't a reason to vote for Kerry," this strategist says.
