Brit Hume could be a new Rather or Brokaw if Rupert ever decided to have a Fox National Nightly News program. He could become the most trusted man in the country. He used to sub for Jennings a lot didn't he?

All the other nets are saying the day of the anchorman cult are over. I'd love to see them 86 the concept and then Murdoch come in and clean their clocks (again).

Maybe I see why O'Reilly keeps cutting Kerry slack -- they're both empty suits. I mean, whointhehell, really, is Bill O'Reilly? I never heard of him before the factor, and I only heard of the factor a couple of years ago. HE's really pretty much of a nobody with a big ego. Having Chrissie Matthews as your bish is not really any big claim to fame.

Yeah, I'd love it if they would carry Brit Hume's show on the Fox network. They could either do the whole hour, or they could alter the format of the hour show into clearly delineated half-hour segments, so they'd only half to air half of it.

It's not just the 50k researching -- it's the fact that you have to post what you got and everybody gets to take shots at it. The chaff falls away from the wheat pretty darn quick.

They have this pattern -- they state the headline, then an optional soundbite/report, then a sort-of one-line "recap". It's the recap that they turn into an evil twisted dagger blow to whichever ox they wish to gore.

He's been prostituting himself for months now trying to get Kerry on the show, why not add CBS to his list of untouchables while he's at it? Fox needs to dump him and hire Ingraham, but his ratings are too good. I wish my radio station would dump him and pick up Ingraham.
