As far as we know the document FAXED from Abilene had previously been FAXED to Abilene from another place

Unless the drives were formatted, the data is still recoverable. The FBI does this all the time. And since this is a case of forgering of US Military documents........

Any development's from Cox's call to start a congressional investigation. I would suggest contacting whoever is involved in that and supeona those computers and search the raw harddrive data for the words in the docs.

BTW - I wouldn't be surprised if he typed them up at Kinkos... He could have typed them up elsewhere and just faxed them there hoping for some anonymity. But he could have just as easily decided he didn't want the digital evidence on his own computers and used kinkos for that reason. Also, what are the chances he owns a copy of Adobe Distiller. I would think there was a good chance he at least printed them to PDF at kinkos. Anyone know if PDF files have any meta-data or anything like that?

Just an FYI: even if the drives were formatted, data can be recovered.

google "data recovery" "formatted" (with the double quotes).
