~10:41pm~ EST JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH ABILENE KINKOS: Bill Burkett has a standing account with the Kinkos in Abilene Texas, and while the lady who answered the phone would not be more specific she did say Burkett was in there last week - she waited on him on last (a week ago) Tuesday....

I think Rather was set up, too. Posted that a long time ago. If so, it does not excuse the negligence of not checking for validity. Rather was too eager, probably. Nor does it excuse his silence now. But something isn't ringing true here. Also (this may have been asked already), do we know for sure what Burkett had copied at Kinko's?
Kim, thanks for the ping...

Note he claims to have been in the Air National Guard. He wasn't he was in the ARMY National Guard.
I may be mistaken, but I believe that was a sarcastic post.
I think he did. The web site appears to show that KMC is Kevin McCullough, who is on that station. I think?
Check out that top link! NYT fingers Burkett
If he was set up, he would have admitted it a long time ago.
Have any Freepers called Kinko's? They're open 24/7 ya know.
" Now where IS my list:
Molly Ivins.
Paul Begala.
James Moore.
Bill Burkett.
Ben Barnes.
Bill Moyers.
Robert Rogers.
Who'd I leave off? "
Maybe you left off Robin Rather..?
The Democratic Fundraiser, wherein Robin asked Dan to speak, attended by Ben Barnes; Robin sneaks off w/ Ben to smoke a rock of crack during the event, they talk about forgery...
I dunno, BUT-- if Robin were in any way involved, it would help explain why Dan prefers to commit suicide before naming a fall "guy".
An argument against Burkett acting alone: the six total memos *tell a sophisticated story*, right? They're kind of subtle, in a way, in managing to touch upon every single Democratic talking point that the DNC would like them to, without being overtly clumsy. So... Is Burkett that nuanced? Or, judging by his writing, is he just a bit too mentally-dyslexicish to have done it on his own? Burkett provides (minimal) skills in military memos; Mr/Mrs X contributes subtle inclusion of all talking points. ?
"oxymoron"
Oxymoron? A democrat in an iron lung?
Nahhh. It's standard MO for the MSM to instantly accept as credible anything that paints a conservative in a bad light. Fact-checking not needed. Dead opposite if it portrays a liberal negatively, of course: dismissed out of hand as some kind of kook, or just not worth covering.

Good point. They are running the CBS/60 Minutes fiasco in their new ads. Hmmmm.........I think CBS just showed even more Bias with this one. They won't change their story until after the election. Their agenda is clear at this point.
"...When I needed an attorney for a case of pure retaliatory abuse that denied me medical care that I had both earned and paid for, I studied the resumes and reputations of attorneys throughout Texas. David Van Os had and has the highest rating and reputation for ethics of any attorney in Texas."
"...my experience has been that lawyers are notoriously dishonest and lack credibility. There is no one in the entire field of law that I would select to represent me over David Van Os."
Bill Burkett
Thanks for the link...unfortunately they've already changed the story or the link is wrong..it points us to a story bout the hurricane..
Not change the subject, but my brother is in Montana right now hiking in the Absoroka-Beartooth Wildnerness Area. He was starting his hike at Box Canyon Trailhead, going to Rainbow Lakes, and from there, I'm not sure.
Yup I think thats pretty much how it went down.
Except that there is the part of the story where Dan and/or the DNC were trying to "find" these docs and the bit where they already knew what was in them and had the ads ready to roll abou them to coincide with the story.
