During the Clinton era (shudder) - many here at Free Republic banded together to perform awesome e-mail and phone demonstrations - and we got a lot accomplished.
Someone with the ability to post the CBS affiliates general managers or owners e-mail or phone number would make it very easy to do e-mail, fax or phone campaigns demonstrating our disgust with the rather biased memogate scandal. Perhaps if enough pressure was applied, they could get CBS to fire Rather.
I believe if we organized and blasted e-mails, faxes and phone calls demanding Rather's resignation or threaten boycotts against the local affiliates - I'll bet we could create some momentum.
What do you think? Can anyone here post names, phone numbers and e-mail addresses or make it very simple to send out all at once (in a group)?
How would one get a list of CBS affiliates? Any takers here? I'll help - but I'll need some directions as I'm not very technical with the computer - however I could recreate the memo if asked ;-)
Any ideas?
Click on a region and the list appears. Some of these stations, eg. 2 in Houston, are already cutting the airing of CBS news, demanding that CBS come clean. Type the stations call letters and frequency, eg. "610 KFRC", into google and you will know if the station has an online presence. They will probably be even more receptive to your complaint if they broadcast online. Be especiallya attentive to stations in your local area. Email, phone, fax, write, and call in to talk shows. If you have time and inclination, you could even contact the stations sponsors directly as well.
Will work on getting TV affiliate list up soon.

Both domestic and foreign. Do the same google search as for radio affiliates and then contact them.

I can't believe O'Reilly is not convinced these memos are fraudulent. Either he hasn't researched enough, or he is pandering. Juan Williams is defending Rather. He is so intellectually dishonest - he must be getting paid for this.
When all of this blows over, not matter what the outcome, I for one will remember who the traitors were. And Bonaparte will come a-knockin. O'Reilly's on my list.
Thank you for the link - look's like I'm not the only one thinking along these lines. Everyone - go here:
