Weather Channel forecasters still think there will be a rather dramatic turn to the North/Northeast. I do not know which model they are looking at.
But sitting here in Orlando, we're just waiting for that beast to take the same unexpected right turn Charley did.

This thing continues to barrel toward New Orleans. They continue to predict a turn to the northeast. It sort of wobbled to the northeast but wobbled back even further to the west. If this thing continues on its current track New Orleans is in for some big trouble.

This morning a local non-network station's meteorologist here in the Bay Area (on KRON-4) showed a model called TITAN which depicted landfall not far from where I guessed yesterday - Southwest Pass!
