I don' like the visions that photo conjurs up! Too freaky.
An expert from NASA was saying that when El Nino is present (it is like a southern jet stream), it clips these apart and thus we don't get but few hurricanes. Now there is nothing to keep them from forming!
All we get here out of the ordinary is occasional ice storms, noreasters, and a torando once in awhile.

My hubby's having his hip replaced next week, so if we take them down, our 16 year old is going to have to learn how to put them up. So they'll probably stay in place on the big windows at least for awhile.
And to think I have always loved parades.

I notice that this map isn't static -- it's continually updated, so anybody looking at this thread next January is going to be confused/amused.
