According to Laurie Dhue at the bottom of the hour all flights are grounded at LAX due to a "radio problem"...
bttt
What is "IPN Breaking News"? Is there any other link to that unknown problem to an unknown aircraft at San Jose?
Quiet here in the Phoenix area which is usually very busy this time of the evening..except for a couple of f15's flying over around the training base a little while ago. I don't see much else but a couple of small planes.
I'm across the street in a hotel and have heard 3 planes take off in the past 3 or 4 minutes. I checked out the window and could see them as well, so it's running again.
Looking out 30 miles east of LAX Karl. Nothing on approach. Skies empty.

I wonder if the one going to Austin was the one I JUST NOW saw.
N. Austin skies quiet. Unusual.
Can't get in. What's with 2239?
Burbank...I came up with the message "No flight Data"...
thanks for the reference to ipn
jeesh...i really hope this isn't a Die Hard 2 situation

you will see the skies filling up shortly....they have to clear the gates out here before planes can come in to land.
Van Nuys to Austin....that would make a cool story!
Gezzz capt'n calm down. No one said it was a crisis. LOL.
There isn't a safety problem, IFR rules are set up for just this kind of circumstance. No aircraft are allowed to take off and all aircraft in the air have a clearance to their intended airport and are cleared to land in case of communication loss with a time slot of +5min. -0min.
Had it happen to me one time on a flight into Burbank when I was still over Arizona on a flight from Texas.
