The originator of the online discrediting of the Killian memos identifed himself only as 'Buckhead,' but a little sleuthing on the website pulls up his other postings and thus a lot more about him.
On the site, (MSNBC displays FreeRepublic.com page with the Buckhead posting) Buckhead claims he is a lawyer from the Atlanta area who participated last month in a meeting of lawyers for Bush-Cheney, an organization he said will be called upon in the event there are election irregularities and everyone winds up in court again.
He says he was worked for a Congressman prominent in GOP legal circles down in Georgia.
So the Killian documents come out and are almost immediately questioned by a lawyer with Republican ties and are distributed to other news organiztions without comment by the White House and they nly have one of their principal endorsers (Bobby Hodges) retract his endorsement.

Heh here's a good one. Buckhead is a prominent area of Atlanta. It's actually Newt or Bob Barr. Maybe even Zell Miller.
This is beginning to sound a lot like the Battle of Wits scene in The Princess Bride...
The Man In Black takes the goblets, turns his back. A moment later, he turns again, faces Vizzini, drops the iocane packet. It is now empty.
The Man In Black rotates the goblets in a little shell game maneuver then puts one glass in front of Vizzini, the other in front of himself.
MAN IN BLACK
All right: where is the poison? The battle of wits has begun. It ends when you decide and we both drink, and find out who is right and who is dead.
VIZZINI
But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine from what I know of you. Are you the sort of man who would put the poison into his own goblet, or his enemy's?
(He studies the Man In Black now.)
Now, a clever man would put the poison into his own goblet, because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he was given. I'm not a great fool, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. But you must have known I was not a great fool; you would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me.
MAN IN BLACK
(And now there's a trace of nervousness beginning)
You've made your decision then?
VIZZINI
Not remotely. Because iocane comes from Australia, as everyone knows. And Australia is entirely peopled with criminals. And criminals are used to having people not trust them, as you are not trusted by me. So I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you.
MAN IN BLACK
Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.
VIZZINI
Wait till I get going! Where was I?
MAN IN BLACK
Australia.
VIZZINI
Yes -- Australia, and you must have suspected I would have known the powder's origin, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me.
MAN IN BLACK
(very nervous)
You're just stalling now.
VIZZINI
(cackling)
You'd like to think that, wouldn't you?
(stares at the Man in Black)
You've beaten my giant, which means you're exceptionally strong. So, you could have put the poison in your own goblet, trusting on your strength to save you. So I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. But, you've also bested my Spaniard which means you must have studied. And in studying, you must have learned that man is mortal so you would have put the poison as far from yourself as possible, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me.
(As Vizzini's pleasure has been growing throughout, the Man In Black's has been fast disappearing.)
MAN IN BLACK
You're trying to trick me into giving away something -- it won't work --
VIZZINI
(triumphant)
It has worked -- you've given everything away -- I know where the poison is.
Where's the I. D.? Dimwit's assuming Buckhead's a man ("he's" a lawyer).
Maybe I missed it, but no name, no i.d.
REMEBER LOWELLGATE?

No surprise that Bucky turns out to be a lawyer. He obviously works with word-processing equipment every day and is trained to look at documents with a discerning eye. Sheeeesh. Don't you mediaresearch.com guys ever get tired of brown-nosing for the mainstream media? What's the matter? Isn't Dan Rather returning your calls, either?
To detect fraud, you must look for it, and to look for it, you must be skeptical. Apparently, CBS wasn't, but some Republicans were.
Ol-BORE-man's conspiracy theory is 100% conjecture, unlike the supporting evidence pointing to fraud. Of course, his partisanship is more important to him than the principles of Occam's Razor...and, conveniently, his defense of 'wouldn't a Dem forger have thought of these loopholes' is BELIED by the fact that CBS, sticking it's neck out and asserting them as evidence, DIDN'T. Why would a Dem forger think of these things if CBS didn't?
I had NO idea. Thanks!
Gee Olbermann probably figured out he lives on Peachtree Street (after all every street in Atlanta is called Peachtree Street)
Olbermann is not Buckhead. But he is ----head.
Freepers, it's finally time to fess up. Keith Olbermann is on to us.
1) Yes, we passed the forged documents to Dan Rather.
2) Yes, we planted the Rose Law Firm billing records on a table in the White House residence.
2) Yes, we recommended Monica for the intern job at the White House.
There's some other stuff too. I can't remember all of it. Now I feel better.
Oh yea, now I remember. We also hired Craig Livingstone.
