"Good evening. This is Dan Rather with the CBS Evening News. Recently it has come to my attention that some poeple are questioning the authenticity of some memos allegedly discussed on 60 MINUTES. I have been isntructed to read a statement from CBS's lawyers...

'Not only do we disavow the existence of any so-called memos regarding President Bush's national guard service, we are making the claim that there is no such program as 60 MINUTES, and in fact there never has been. Also, there is no such person as 'Dan Rather.' We blame Karl Rove for everything.'
