This really is pretty much SOP, at least in the Army.
My husband went through ROTC and was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Reserves (by the time he was commissioned, Nixon had stopped the draft and they were RIFing career men and guys with four year free ride scholarships.) But he still was in the regular Army for 120 days for ADT (Active Duty for Training).

The Democrats sure have been eating a lot of "crow" lately. You would think they would get tired of this menu. I have a feeling they are going to eat a lot more during the next 50 days. It must suck to be a Rat. Can you imagine how mad you would be if you left your job or business to work for the Kerry campaign for the past 2 years. I think there is going to be hell to pay in the Kerry campaign. Man, their candidate is a walking, talking nightmare. Go Bush!

OK...I still don't agree with Karl Rove on several issues.
BUT...
He really is a genius in so far as managing rapid response and anticipating attacks.
