My husband went through ROTC and was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Reserves (by the time he was commissioned, Nixon had stopped the draft and they were RIFing career men and guys with four year free ride scholarships.) But he still was in the regular Army for 120 days for ADT (Active Duty for Training).
Is Active Duty Training the same as Active Duty? Does the guard just train with the reglar branch initially?
If it SOP, I don't know that I know anybody who was in the Guard that claims to have been active duty despite their apparently being part of "active duty training" for 120 days.
