Truck-maker to sell giant pick-up

At 258 inches, or 21-1/2 feet long, the CXT's about 4-1/2 feet longer than the new Hummer H2 pickup, and about 2 inches longer than the F-350 Crew Cab. But it really towers over what's on the road now is in height, at 108 inches, or 11 feet, a foot above a basketball rim and more than two feet taller than the Hummer or the F-350.

From the article.

The price for the CXT ranges from about $93,000 to $115,000 fully loaded,

Almost the price of the real thing.

Where do I get one? That thing would probably run over my F-150 Supercrew.

Don't know where the 11 feet figure came from in your text posting. The actual article says 9 feet, which is 108 inches. I could see a Hummer or an F-350 being 7 feet tall - but not 9.

I guess I'm going to have to get my tape measure adjusted.

11 metric feet, 10 inches to the foot.

WHat a wussy truck... if you are going to go that size, might as well go with a MAC or a FREIGHTLINER or something... instead of this overpriced wimpy want to be.

That would be a great rig for towing anything heavy like, maybe, your 42' yacht on its fancy trailer.

The price for the CXT ranges from about $93,000 to $115,000 fully loaded

Chump change!

Now, how much for that 42' yacht?

This will be a great vehicle for those days when you have to run errands all over town.

"We can see it a as a vehicle for business people who want to make distinct impression. For personal use, it's for people who want to make a statement."

Statement: "Look at me! I'm an idiot!"

At least you can argue that the Hummers look cool. This thing looks silly.

Hyundai has an ad out where people are driving around in steamrollers as their SUV's: I guess it wasn't a joke.

I saw a truck on the discovery channel. Used in mining operations. A man standing beside it looked to be about half the height of one of the tires. It was stated that it DOES occasionally run over pickups due to the operators limited field of vision. Bottom line- Stay out of its way.

The vehicle weighs about seven tons empty and can carry another six tons in its truck bed....CDL required!

I'll stick with Ford products and I don't need a bigger pickup. :)

I drove big rigs for 31 years so that's a little puny for real truck. :):)
